Smile Oscars

Does anyone keep oscars here?

Don't you agree they're amazingly animated fishies?

They are really cool fish!! I don't know if I will ever keep them since I don't think I could bring myself to feed live fish but they are cool

They are my all time favorite fish! I had one a few yrs ago named "Oskee"...he was awesome! He recognized ME,and would only come out for me,as he knew I was the one who looked after him.He also liked his head patted!

I have been considering setting up a tank for a pair of them again soon!

Love em I do!

I think they are really neat fish and love them but I don't think I could have a tank that big.

They are amazing, aren't they? I have one tiny little oscar named Murdoc in a huge 75 gallon tank - you'd never imagine how tiny he looks! But not for long. He adores me already, and I've only had him for a few months. Soon we'll get to get into the good stuff - like krill, beefheart and even peas.

PS: You don't need to feed them live fish, because they'll eat anything big enough to fit in their mouths (usually). So you can feed them things like crickets, earthworms and frozen or dried fish.

Oooh...would love to see pics of your oscar! They are really amzing fish,so very smart too! Love em!

Yeah, thats how I lost my oscar... I fed him live feeders and they must have been sick/diseased (as so many feeders are),because the next day Oskee was dead.It was heartbreaking and he was getting so big!

Oscars are neat but have never interested me enough to want to keep them. I don't know why.
