A new visitor! When I went out to feed the fish this morning, he was sitting on some plants.

Here is a picture of some water lettuce. All my plants seem to be doing well, I'm pretty happy!

Unhappy

Three of my fish have died, including my one eyed oranda. Apparently the frog living in my pond is not very friendly. All three fish had their fins chewed off. I'm not sure what the actual cause of death was, but I am thinking the frog was the culprit.

I have moved my other two back inside.

I don't think I am going to be putting more fish in there. I have wanted to adopt a turtle for a while. I would have to make some adjustments but it would be nice to make my pond a turtle pond for the summer. If not, it will just be a wildlife pond.

Sorry that happened Amber.

I'm sorry to hear about the fish . Did you have the water tested just in case?

Turtles are nice . You could adopt a needy RES or something...there are soooo many turtles for adoption. It's so sad.

but maybe the froggie will find a froggie friend.. then you might get little froggies.. that would be neat?

Sasami - The fish that I saved have their tails chewed too.

I did test the water and everything was fine.

I am going to be on the lookout for a turtle to adopt. There aren't any locally on petfinder right now, but I'm sure there will be eventually.
