Photos of my fish friends :)

I joined not too long ago, so I figured I'd post photos of my myriad of tanks.

This is my 20 gallon long tank with Dwarf Platies, Eastern Mosquito Fish, and peppered cories. And a female Betta in the divided off section on the end.

Here is a 10 gallon with Lampeye Killies, a Honey Sunset Gourami, and a Guppy that I adopted. Ignore the silicone on the glass, this tank used to have a couple dividers like the one in the 20Long.

A heavily planted 10 gallon with a breeding pair of Betta Mahachai. The divider is temporary, normally they can be housed together, but he beat her up pretty good in the last spawning, so I've got her protected with the divider until she heals up.

A 5.5g that I'm using to breed some of my Betta Splendens.

A 10g that I'm using to condition a pair of Crowntail Betta Splendens for breeding.

I've also got 3 other 2.5g tanks holding some of my female betta splendens, and a 55g that I'm working on for 3 Ryukin goldfish (they are in a quarantine right now) that I don't have photos for at the moment. I'll update this thread as I get the pictures. I hope you enjoyed the photos.

Why is the water brown?

The water is brown because of something I added to the water. Indian Almond leaves. They lower the pH and release natural tannins and nutrients into the water that they Bettas like. The darker water also helps relieve a bit of stress.

Nice tanks! How many bettas do you have?
