Steve French!! Mayday! Mayday!!

Well, a week ago I noticed Steve French, my betta in a 2gal glass bowl, was slowing down. I'd only had him 3.5 months, heaven only knows how long is was in the pet store. I did a 30% water change and waited 3 days. He wasn't looking worse, but he wasn't looking better. Colour getting dull, not coming up for food, not really swimming at all. Pretty much just sitting at the bottom pumping his gills. So Pat and I made and executive decision to put him in the 10 gal tank I've had cycling for 4 months now. It was a pretty easy decision. lol. I thought I could manage balancing the bowl, since I'm so anal retentive, but I just couldn't do it. Rather than try to fix it, I just scooped him up and put him in the tank, with my hand. Solving this problem took all of 10 seconds lol. He's now been in the 10 gal tank for 4 days, and his colour's back, he's swimming TONS, and he's coming up for food again! YAY! lol He's even being friendly, if that's at all possible When I go up to the tank, he comes to me and twirls and swims around all silly. He's WEIRD!

The pics are so-so, the cord to my computer cam was as long as it would go.

Here's just the tank. I took the plants from the bowl too so now the tank is packed! He loves it I have one live plant on the back left corner (which I'm sure you can't see LOL)

And Stevie!!

That's great to hear! I bet he loves his new home!

It really goes to show you that bettas benefit from having more space .

Yeah I know, I feel like a jerk for having done this in the first place. And I know I know, you all told me the tank was better. But did I listen? Psshhh NO! *sigh* I learned my lesson! And I hope all you have too! It works the first few months but then, yikes!
