Urgent help needed please

I have 2 blue lobsters. the smaller one wont leave the bigger one alone. this morning it has pulled all but one of the other one legs and main claw off from one side. why is it doing this! and could it be 1 is male the other female!! i feel sorry for the big lobster. what should i do. thanks

They are solitary animals and should not be housed together

Yeah exactly as above. Assuming you are talking about Freshwater Blue lobsters which are commonly seen in pet stores they don't really get on very well with anything.

I agree, please separate them asap before one kills the other. Also, the injured one should be monitored carefully and kept in a hospital tank to recover.

thank you to all. I have now put her in her own tank. i didnt know they liked to live on their own.

It's ok, part of the problem is that they house them together at pet stores .

In general, you want to research species on your own before buying them--don't trust the word of a pet store employee.
