2 Strays, 1 abandoned looking for homes
At the clinic right now we have 3 animals all looking for new homes:
Harley is a 9 year old beagle mix who was brought in with a leg injury in August. The owner didn't have the money to pay for his treatment at the time and opted to board him until she got her paycheck. He was treated and his leg is fine, but she never came back for him, nor has she payed anything on the account. $1300 and 4 months later, we still have him. Abandonment letters have been sent out and every week she calls claiming to bring in payments but she never has. She has now reliquished ownership to the clinic. Harley is a housebroken and sweet old man who would make a wonderful addition to any family. He is free to a good home.
Dok is an approx 1 year old male short haired tabby cat. He was a stray who was found by one of our clients after having been hit by a car and suffering a broken leg. Our clients didn't have the $600 needed to pay to repair the leg and Dr. Lehr didn't want to amputate since their was no nerve damage. They reliquished ownership to the clinic and Dok had his leg pinned and has been neutered. Extremely sweet and loving, he would make a great indoor cat to anyone who doesn't mind a cat who wants to be loved on constantly. He is free to a good home.
Sebastian is approx 9 month old border collie mix. He was found by Dr. Lehr's wife limping along the road. Super friendly, but has a limp. No broken bones and he's healing up well. Sebastian seems to be housebroken as he has not messed in his run since he was brought in. This dog needs an active home with children to keep him busy. He loves to run and play. He is also free to a good home with the stipulation that the new owners have him neutered before taking possession.
If anyone is interested in adopting Harley, Dok, or Sebastian, please call Academy Pet Hospital at 910-484-7153 to schedule an appointment to come meet them.
