Can you find a rescue in your area to take them?

i would but id feel as though im taking up spots that are despratly needed by other animals that are either abused or neglected my rattie are not either, it would be wrong of me to take those spots up most rescues only have the room for a certain amount of critters.

I am aware of this,as I am involved with rescue and I understand what your saying.
Rescues can place them in foster care until they are adopted.
There is no harm in at least asking.

Well good luck finding them good homes whichever route you take. If I was closer,I would gladly take a couple of them.

EDIT: I have some American rat lover friends on my Facebook,so I will ask them.
If they are interested I will put you in contact with them.

thank you vanillarat
as far as fostering them out there is no need i have them seperated into two cages one thats a 20gal with a topper on it for the 3 girls and a 3 level delux HUGE cage for the 5 boys, i can afford the bedding and food its just i didnt know how quick they get prego and was over loaded and 8 rats is just too much. i do love them and they are all sweet as can be, i just cant handle that many and was hoping to find all but 3 of the boys great homes that arnt snake inhabited, they r too sweet to be fed to snakes. and craigslist is just too iffy for me to use to find them homes i dont trust that they will not end up in some snakes belly.

if u did decide to do craigslist just a suggestion u could screen homes before letting them go to that person example set up kind of an adoption forum and go see the home to make sure they have proper cage bedding ect just an idea
