Question Dena, got a snake question for you.

You mentioned that you have a rosy boa. Are you familiar with Ball Pythons? I thought they only got to be 5-6 ft. long. I was talking to a guy yesterday who said he had a friend who had one that 12-15 ft. long. Could he have been mistaken about the species?

I'm not Dena, I am 99.9% sure he is mistaken... most likely it is a burmese python that he has, not a ball python. I'll refrain from commenting on what I think if people who don't even know what species they are keeping.

Rav

She sits in her corner, singing herself to sleep.
Wrapped in all of the promises, that no one seems to keep.

I agree with Rav - especially since he knows a lot more than I do. Ball pythons are very popular because they stay on the "smaller" size. That is one of the reasons I have a rosy boa. He stays very small. I had a Luesistic Rat snake, she was so beautiful but oh so nasty! All the research I had done said they were just like corn snakes and the people I talked to said that they were just like corn snakes. No one bothered to mention how fast they are to strike at any moving thing. Not a great starter snake to be certain but I love my Max. He is so gentle and "slow" like a big snake but little so my relative are not afraid to come over LOL

Thanks for the info. I had thought that this guy was confused. I hope his friend, the owner of the snake, wasn't confused.
