I would never feed live for I have pet rats and eventually he will have to eat rats, BUT FROZEN ONLY. Its safer for both snake and rat because mouse or rat can hurt the snake. I wish more snake owners knew that.

He is 6months old, going on 7 next week. I have a 75w basking light that is on all day and off at night.

He loves eating dead things, which is good. I usually let is defrost on its own but if im in a rush i drop it into hot water. im lazy

Nice snake. Why would he have to eat rats, inless your talking like newborn pinkies - but I don't think corns get so big that they need rats
