Happiness is a big piece of....

POOP!!!!
Hooray! I was watching my new gecko (still unnamed...hmm) tonight and saw him take a huge poopie!! Yay! I was so worried he wasn't eating, but right after I saw that he MONCHED on a cricket! I am so happy!!

And after many troubleshooting hours, I think I have solved my heating problem. I will take my lamp back, and purchase a bigger pad, and then put the littlest one on the bottom and the bigger one on the side. How does that sound? Thanks for everyone's advice, sorry I was being a bit grumpy about it...I'm just glad I have an idea now.

I will try and post some pictures tomorrow!!

Yay congrats on the poopie. The 2 pads would probably work. Just keep a close eye on the temp for a few days when you get it set up, to be sure that it doesn't over heat. If all else fails, you could always get a Ceramic Heat Emitter. But you would definitely need a thermostat for that.

Congrats !! Careful putting the heat pad on the side. It can make the glass really hot.

Maybe if it makes the glass too hot I will put the bigger one on the bottom and keep the smaller one on the side, its warm but not too hot.
