New to Gecko hatching

I found Gecko eggs tonight while packing up to move house- as I disrupted the nest and there was no mother to be seen in or nearby the nest I have put them in a small container of moist dirt under a light to promote humidity.
I have gooled it a little and have found a sandy soil (vermiculite/perlite) would be best but as I'm unable to get any presently, soil will have to do.
I wonder if I could have some sdvice though;
They were dropped from a small height but have not sustained any visible damage; will the hatchlings have survived that fall or am I incubating dead eggs?
How do I care for them once they've hatched/if they hatch?
Any websites or information is greatly appreciated!

Thanks- from a very worried mother-to-be.

I do not know anything about Geckos but I hope that everything goes well with them. I think that you should try to take care of them and see what happens.
