Rescue story!

So we had this woman come into the pet shop quite a few times to get crickets saying she was trying to catch a weird animal that was under her deck. It would eat the crickets but they couldn't catch it.
.
.
.

Finally, after weeks of trying she came into the store with the beast! They took a bag usually intended for fish, put a piece of thread through it, attached a cricket to the thread (!!!) and then she lured the thing into the bag by pulling on the thread and brought it to us.
.
.
Guess what was in her garden??
.
.
A 6-inch Leopard gecko!!! He was VERY skinny though, I had never seen a leopard gecko with such a thin tail, he just looked like a spotted lizard. When we told them what it was and it HAD to be someone's former pet, they decided to adopt him! (or her) So they got a nice big tank for it, all the accessories and lots of worms.
After they got him all nice and warm, they gave him some worms, HE ATE THEM ALL!!! poor thing was famished!!
I'm very happy this little guy gets a second chance at life

yeah i'm very glad! He has a missing toe (well it's shorter i guess part of it was cut off, or eaten?) but i don't think that's gonna cause any problems!
He was so big and beautiful!

The only other gecko i've seen in real from up close is the spotted gecko at the store and it's a tiny baby. So to see this big 6 inch one was cool! He was perhaps even longer than 6 inches, it's hard to tell afterwards.

ohh that's very possible because he had some skin left on his front toes!

I hope they can fatten him up too and he doesn't die now that they have him! but I think he should become nice and plump now that he has proper heat and all
