they are so cute! I read on your other threads that crested geckos don't grow their tail back... but i thought it was in the tail that they kept food storage. Does that mean you have to be careful how you feed lewis and bertha? Just feed them often?

Unlike geckos such as leopard geckos crested gecko do not store any 'food' in their tails. They have calcium sacks in the roof of their mouths. They lose their tails as a defense mechanism. The tail with twitch distracting the predator so they can get away.

I feed them the same as I feed Tiny (who still has her tail) just more since they are bigger. I also offer them silkworms for an extra boost since Bertha is laying.

Yeah i sort of realized after that tiny's tail is not the same shape as other gecko's!
Thanks for clearing that up so interesting about the calcium sacks. Nature is so wonderful!
