Smile Ajax is back

I just wanted to let you all know that the problem child we call Ajax is back.....When we were out at Dr.Friz's the other day and one of the big things we were discussing was the behavior of Ajax. He did really well out there with the other dog's, no aggression, no barking, and even was able to get his food aggression under better control. Wow what 8 days can do......After seeing him and him seeing us, then pouncing on me and knocking me to the floor as he couldn't lick me fast enough, Darren's eyes swelled up with tears and he said I want him home where he belongs. Although Ajax was initially a foster we love the guy and have a tight bond with him, after all he has been with us since January. After bringing him home we soon realized that he still doesn't care for his brother Beau so there is work to still be done there, but he has improved a great deal in his time away. Darren said that Ajax probably just needed a vacation He is eating much slower and isn't concerned with the other dog's around him while he is eating, although now we feed him and Beau in 2 different rooms, and starting this weekend Darren is going to be spending alot of one on one time with Ajax in hopes of better training him. We both felt that Ajax was a great dog with the exception of the aggression towards his brother and the food issue, but it seems now there might be a chance to work through all of that......Wish us luck!!!!

Awww! You can't adopt Ajax out now! It sounds like your honey just loves him too much!

Kim that is great news! I do hope Ajax continues his good behaviour. I know you and Darren want nothing more than to be able to keep him and have him live peacefully with his brother.

Thanks Jodi and Chrisanne, we are surely going to have to work hard with him, but we know that it's the best for all us
