Yep ingredients are very similar to the cat formulas also. I was real impressed with the ingredients and they seem to do very well on it so far besides loving it that I have to watch they dont become little fatties from it lol. My new pup will be ready hopefully in 2 weeks and I'm going to go with thier puppy formula as the breeder is starting the pups out on it also as she was also impressed with the labeling and vet recommendations. Cant beat the cost of it either compared to most brands. I think it's much less expensive for the amount you get and the quality of it.

Elvis Lee LOVES Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul dry kibble and canned and the new heart shaped treats. It's wonderful holistic food. I've tried others, even Vet prescribed but he does best on this food. He's happy, active, regular bowel movements, nice breath etc. Have you ever added a little warm water to the kibble? Makes a great smelling "gravy".

I read a horror story somewhere about what byproducts & fillers are. I stoppped giving my baby food with those things in it. I also buy treats with no preservatives, no byproducts, no fillers. There are some great ones out there.

After doing some label reading, it seems that all the grocery dog foods/treats are filled with preservatives, byproducts, fillers. When I was a new puppy mommy, I gave him stuff like Iams & treats from the grocery store. His digestive system got messed up when I gave him foods with those ingredients so I learned early on to avoid them for my puppy & to buy holistic foods & treats for him.

I just made some homemade doggy treats for Elvis & his Obedience class. If they go over well, I'll post the recipies.
