Dog lost...has anyone else lost one before?

I'm kinda just wondering....my family dog-a beautiful sweet female black lab-got out about three days ago....i was wondering if anyone has lost a dog and found it again.....I'm worried about her.

Yep, actually cooper our dog right now ran 7 miles away with another stray dog. We got a call that someone found him.

My sister was in a carcrash with her dog the day after thanksgiving, her dog got out when they had to use the jaws of life to get her out, the dog ran away and was very scared it took almost a week before someone found, and caught the dog in a christian book store and called them.

Our dog when i was young was scared during a thunderstorm and ran 5 miles away, he didn't have tags and so no one knew who he was, he lived with that family for over a month before we knew they had him and we got him back as well.

It is a MUST to have tags with their name, your name and number and it is good to have the name of a vet on it as well.

Check your local vets offices, humane societies and shelters. Put up posters

Good luck

Thank you. She didn't have tags on her when she got out because the day before she had had a bath but she has a chip in her. We've filled out a load of papers and our next step is posters thank you...and I hope your sister is ok.

Thank you RodentzRule.

My dog has been found!! I saw a glimpse of her then had to follow the people who had her. I wasn't 100% sure at first but it was her. Now she's gotten a nice bath and is playing with our other dog!

I know...I just really feel bad for anyone who has lost their dog now. I mean I felt bad before but I went through it for four days and that was ****....pardon the language if it bothers anyone.

She got home though and is crashed! It's kinda funny to see this energetic dog so worn out and I can see why...but it feels so good to know she's safe and sound...it just doesn't quit seem real yet. Too much to believe you know?
