Dogs, Hookworms

There was this dog that had hookworms, and they gave the dog a medicine to stop the hookworms, but for a couple of days, the dog would barely touch it's food. The dog is fine now, but has that ever happened to other dogs....

I'm sure the medicine might suppress their apetite a bit, or make their stomach upset.

Hookworms can cause dogs to be severely anemic, and be very serious. When I was a vet tech, we have two pitbull pups in at the same time, one with Parvo one with Hookworms. The one with Hookworms was worse off and stayed longer then the Parvo puppy..it was really touch and go for awhile.
