Is it ok to cut a long haired dog short?
I know this may seem like a strange question.
Myfanwy has or had should I say very long hair, she looked like a black alsation but it got everywhere and we couldnt cope.
So now she is shaven and she looks like a greyhound.
I will show pics when I get them printed.

unless the dog is going to be super cold, it's fine. just make sure she has a sweater now for when she goes outside. i shave my yorkie every spring and keep it that was throughout the summer.

I must have cut a pound of hair off Kirby a few days ago. i think its alright as long as the dog isnt outside a lot in the sun or out in the cold.

ive heard of a case where someone shaved their Samyoed and her dog got so badly sun burned that its skin peeled and they had to put some kind of cream stuff all over the dog. :o
