Question How old is your dog?

My friend got a dog last year, and i was wondering like normally how much does a dog cost because it might have cost a lot for my friend to get one for her B-Day

What kind of dog are we speaking of? Dogs can range anywhere from the lower $200s to the upper $9,000s *depends on if it's a show dog or not* but it also depends on the breed.

Are you asking how much a dog costs for a life time or how much it costs to purchase a dog from a breeder?

Taking a look around on puppyfind.com, it looks like the range for a Bichon Frise is anywhere from $300-$3,500. The average price was right around $500.

I have never gone through a breeder...almost always the shelter , or those houses that say free pups just cause I feel bad for them...

lol I just don't get how old your dog is in the poll and then the thread is about price...lol

Larger dogs tend to have a shorter life span where as the smaller dogs tend to have a longer life span.

Well like everyone else said the pure breed dogs obviesly cost more, my point is there are plenty of mutts out there that need homes. Don't rule out the local shelters! The highest price I've seen for a shelter dog is $92......but around where I live their $50. So you could save some money and a dogs life if you get a shelter dog.
