Question I need help!

i have a dog called kizzy, you'll be able to see her in my sig, and i have a dog bastet and a problem.

i got the bastket for kizzy to sleep in but she wont sleep in it, i have tried everything i can think of but she just wont stay in it for the whole night, and if i do put her in the dog basket she just starts bark and whimper and i dont get any sleep!

i know she used to be abused and was left on the streets, do you think thats why she wants to sleep on my bed with me?

Some dogs just don't like to sleep in a dog bed. If she's use to sleeping with you or someone else that's where she is going to want to sleep.

You're probably going to lose sleep for a few nights but the best way to get her to sleep in one spot is to put her back there every single time she gets up. Every single time. You have to be consistent or she's going to learn that you'll eventually give in. It took about three days to get our dog to sleep on his bed at the foot of our bed, but he was never actually allowed in our bed, which helped.

Where is her dog bed? If its not in the bedroom maybe you could move it there so she can see you all the time.

My dogs don't sleep in my room, but I did teach them a 'bed!' command. They know what the bed is now. When you put her back in the bed, say "bed" or something so that way you can try voice commands too. If she's out of the bed, say your command and put her back in the dog bed. She'll get it eventually. Some dogs are faster learners than others, and rewarding with treats never hurts.

Well, Maybe you shouldd try Marmilla's advice, I have a 6 year old labrador that was abused, when she was a puppy. and I got her when she was 2 for awhile i tried to get her to sleep at the end of the bed but she refused she wanted to sleep at the top with me and the pillows, so i decided to take an old shirt of mine that had my scent on it and i put it at the bottom of the bed and stayed there, and i gave her a treat and now she sleeps at my feet, So maybe if Kizzy want's to be with you, put something with your smell on it in her bed so she thinks your there with her, its kind of like a baby having a certain blanket or toy they wont sleep with out.
I hope that helps.
