Question I still cant figure it out.....

Ok, This happened like 2 years ago, But no one knows why. We took Haley and Kirby to get their shots like normal, and about 2 or 3 days later we noticed that Kirby was losing hair (in a circular form) It was in the same place were he got his shot. About two days later, Haley got the same thing. It was in the same place. I am wondering why this happened cause it has never happened before.

It's sometimes a vaccine side effect.

Quote:
Reactions That Are Generally Considered to Be Acceptable
* Slight increase in temperature
* Brief muscle soreness, benign swelling or masses at the site of injection
* Short term anorexia
* Lethargy
* Vaccine site alopecia (worrisome in show animals as it may not be reversible)
* Fur/skin discoloration at the site of vaccination (worrisome in show animals as it may not be reversible
* Abscesses (of questionable acceptability)

when my cat bella gets vaccinated she turns onto her back, completely flattens her ears and stretches her arms and chin out straight. It is the funniest sight! she's totally fine after a few minutes, she just plays dead.
