Labrador Deciever!!

As comedic as this is going to sound, my Beau is a manipulative little bugger. He distracts me and steals stuff off my coffee table. If we leave him alone to check the mail, or if I am asleep and Ted's in the washroom the little monster steals stuff and hides it in his kennel. He knows it's wrong because he would never do in in front of us, he waits until we leave the room for a second. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hahaha, when I read this post I started thinking about how Marley would steal things and then do the "Marley Mambo" and look very pleased with himself.

Funny you should mention that book! I finished reading it today and bawled my eyes out. The reading about Marley at the beach reminded me of when Beau was a pup and we took him to the beach on Bell Island. Beau is smart, but he acts like a moron sometimes! lol

I finished it a few weeks ago...it was a very good book.I also cried...it was/is the FIRST book that ever made me cry! The movie is coming out this month!

Puppies are really funny! Always getting into some kind of trouble.
I used to have a lab many yrs ago that was quite dumb (I mean that in a nice way!).I miss her.

I loved that book! But when I was half way through I realized what the end would bring. I also cried my eyes out.

My old neighbor had a beautiful yellow lab. She was the sweetest dog but I don't think she was the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Frank would bark nastily at her and she would run over like he was a dear old friend.

I did know a golden that would steal things to get attention. My mother cleaned at her house and she would steal my moms gloves, dish towels, pot holders - whatever she could. My mom would trade her for an ice cube and she was happy. She was such a sweet dog!

Harley steals stuff all the time but he doesn't hide it in his kennel he takes it outside. He takes his blanket, shoes, socks, food containers and sometimes even to my dismay takes my underwear(its always the clean stuff) but thank goodness it's never when my neighbours are outside.

Beau has stolen my clean socks from my dresser drawer as well..last night he went in the living room and when he came back in he ran into his kennel and was crunching on something, I crawl into the cage with him and he has one of my NEW spoons chewed to bits! Little bugger :p I was so mad, but he looked sorry so I forgave him.

I woke up, went to the washroom, opening Beaus kennel along the way. I come out of the bathroom and he had an ENTIRE roll of toilet paper stretched all over the house!! I laughed, got angry, then cleaned the mess..still kinda laughing while cleaning it up. It was my own stupid fault for leaving a full roll of toilet paper on the coffee table.
