Is he purebred Schnauzer?
I cannot tell,he is cute though.

I used to not like Mini Schnauzers until I met a bunch of them here. There is a breeder and trainer of them here, plus he is a dog groomer. And he owns a decent pet store. Also he helps us (Beagle Paws) alot of the time, donating things and everything. But ever since I met his dogs,I have liked the breed.

yep he is a Schnorkie a schnauzer yorkie cross

I never liked yorkies but i love my messi. I think yorkies are just too small for me his dad was 7 lbs. But at 4 months old messi is 10 lbs and his mom was 12 so he will out grow both of them.

sure, learn if you would like. however I see sooo many injured dogs because the owners were trying to groom them. There is alot that can be cut and it can be dangerous for someone who is not a professional to groom.
if you do it yourself be sure and get professional clippers and blades. and read read read! maybe even join a grooming forum to help you out

or if you got him from a good breeder she will show you how to do it!

I groom a few of these guys and I just adore them! too freakin cute

Messi is cute

I use to groom my parents cocker myself. But like ratty_ratkins said, you should invest in professional clippers. They are more expensive, but the cheaper clippers that we tried first barely got through the dogs hair at all and broke really quickly. We went out and got a professional quality one and have had it for probably over 10 years and it still works (although sadly my parents dog passed away recently).
