My Husky won't play with toys, and is afraid of the indoors

I just got my husky a few days ago, he has no interest in toys, if i throw a ball or something he just looks at it, then looks at me again. ive tried putting treats in the toy but he doesnt care. Any way i can fix this? or is there other things i can do with him/give him to keep him busy?

Also he is terrified of being indoors, he has to be physically forced to go through a doorway. he isnt too bad once he is inside though. any ideas what could be causing this? or any tips on helping him?

Dont worry, its normal, you only got him a few days ago, he needs to get used to his sourroundings and bond to you, he will be more comfortable playing and stuff once hes bonded

We adopted my 10-year-old lab from a family who left him outside all the time, he was rarely allowed in the house even in the case of a blizzard or storm. when we adopted him it took us several weeks of luring him in the house with treats and giving him lots of praise when he came in. Now he runs into the house with the other dog just fine.

He also doesn't play with toys. Nothing, nada, ziltch. He will occasionally chew on a Nylabone and he loves raw bones. (Cow femer only) Eventually we gave up trying to get him to play with toys, he's very chill and we love him for it.

my brothers newly adopted dog Lucy also wouldn't play with toys, he bought her everything, I was there visiting and I took his sock and tied it in a knot and just moved it around in front of her and i would gently tickle her belly with it, after 30 min or so I had her playing tug-o-war like crazy lol...i think you just gotta stick to it and make sure they see it as non threatning...on a side note, my dog Leia will only play with Stuffies and frisbees, she is terified of balls lol...so just keep trying to find a toy that she shows intrest in

I am so glad you got her to come in on her own, I was watching the dog whisperer and he worked with a dog like that, he gave treats and would run around and then run in the door to keep the momentum going, it was so interesting
