My Poor Baby. 8(

Odie has another hot spot. 8( This one is on his tail base. I called the vet this morning and he told me to shave the area, clean it with the Hexadene I have here, and apply some Gentocin spray I have. Also to go by the office and pick up some clavamox for him. So a friend lent me a clipper and I shaved his butt... I also clipped all his hair to check if there's any other skin irritation. Let me tell you, it's a good thing that I'm studying for vet tech and not groomer... LOL.

This is his new hot spot (before I shaved it, I had just cut his hair with some scissords)

Odie now, with all his hair clipped. Now he looks like he has more spots...

Note his neck area... this cut is so horrible! LOL

But I did the best I could, he didn't liked the clipper near his ears, and he has fat rolls on his neck... lol. Poor baby. 8(

Poor baby! I'm sending hugs and cuddles to him. He's lucky to have a mommy who loves him and takes such good care of him. I hope he feels better soon.

Yikes that looks like it's pretty irritated..... are you going to have to E-Collar him so he doesn't make it worse or is he being pretty good about leaving it alone?
Hope he is feeling better soon!

Thanks. It looks a lot better today, with a dry scab already. 8)

weird thing is that I don't think he's even able to reach that area with his mouth. I noticed that it suddenly itches him and he would try to reach and just end up sitting to try and east the itch/pain. No scooting, no trying to scratch against anything, just sit.
