A new puppy?

When is a good age for a dog to buy another puppy? I was intrested in buying another puppy in the future and I already have a puppy. I'm just a little concern that he might not take well to a new puppy since he has been the baby for so long now. I don't want him to try and hurt the new one.

I don't know that there is any certain age that is best. I personally would wait until your pup now is fully trained how you want him to be....otherwise you'll be training two dogs at once which will be difficult (not impossible but difficult) and time consuming. Wherever you get your new pup from I'd be taking your dog with you, and seeing how they go before bringing one home to find that your dog really doesn't like it. Lots of socialisation for the pup you have now would be the best way to prepare him! If he is used to other dogs being around a lot he shouldn't find a new pup overly threatning to him!

Too lazy to even think of a siggy

I agree with RSBunny, wait until your puppy is trained. Before getting our second dog, we waited until Rocky was over a year old. We didn't have any problems.
