Pictures of Twinkle (My New Pug)

Please give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Rare Breed family: "Luv-D Pugs Twinkle." I was supposed to wait until this Friday to pick her up, but when I heard that she was litter box trained and fully weaned at 6 weeks old I begged and begged until our breeder finally said yes.

Twinkle is doing very well and has made herself quite at home. She uses the doggie litterbox every time she goes potty and we haven't had one accident since her arrival on Sunday. We haven't had to use the crate and are VERY impressed by her intelligence and training. I've never met a dog that could be so easily trained! She is very eager to please and very loyal, also. I have to watch my feet because that is the place she is always found.

My three cats have mixed emotions over her (Flame and Rose are very fluffed up) but my spunky little spitfire Lucy has fallen in love! She was a little cautious at first but is now playing full time mom to our little puggie. When the puggie goes outside Lucy shadows her and I even caught Lucy hissing at Flame when she got too close and growled at Twinkle. I really think she was protecting her. Lucy and Twinkle play a game where Twinkle pounces and barks at Lucy, and Lucy fluffs and hops at Twinkle. It's sooooooo cute. I haven't left them alone, yet, but I'm sure it won't be long before I can.

Here are some pictures:

I'll have more soon!

the litterbox is convienent but the cats keep thinking it is a new toy. i have too many litterboxes in this house anyways. i will probably end up scooting it closer and closer to the back door until it is outside. then i will leave it outside and save myself the hassle of poopy grass. ahhhhhh.....bliss......

Oh she's so cute! I'm getting pug fever too! It's a good thing I rent and can't have dogs or I'd have one by now for sure!
Congrats!

I've had pug fever for a while now!

Twinkle is sooooooo adorable I can't stand it! I see you have one of the Pet Stages toys. Those are really popular where I work.

when i first saw the pet stages toy i laughed and thought "it's like a real baby toy. that's kinda weird." then i realized how nice it was. it looks like a puppy and can be microwaved for warmth and comfort. twinkle uses it like a pillow and it gives her great comfort during the night. it kinda compensates for the loss of her siblings and mother but it only lasts for about an hour or two before she's sleeping in bed with me. it's like having an infant all over again. in the day time she throws it all around and the rice inside (that's the warming element) shakes like a rattle. it really is her favorite toy and i'm glad i broke down and bought it.
