Question ques about BARF diet

i just have to know...
what exactly does BARF stand for? i know what it is, but what do the letters stand for? thanks!

I think (but I'm not sure) that's it's bones and raw food. I think I did a google search on it once and found that.

It stands for Bones and raw food. They don't really use that name anymore, not commonly anyway. I guess people think it's gross sounding.

Here is a pretty good group that explains the foods that are fed and how to go about feeding the diet.

It has two meanings. It's not always easy for folks to remember "biologically appriopriate raw foods," so it's often called "bones and raw foods."

I like the first one better. Bones and raw foods just sounds really gross. And its kind of ironic that its called the BARF diet.
