Runt of the litter

We just had 7 bullmastiff pups. They are about 6 days old. There is one that is half the size of the other pups. She gets pushed out from the mom during feeding. We have to help it get milk from the mom and we are also bottle feeding. Does anyone know about doing anything else for the pup. Thanks

You're doing just about all you can do. I would take the others out for short periods of time and give the little one on one time with mom.

it's sad to say and im sorry to hear about that but unfortunately thats what usually happens, in a lot of cases the runt is the runt for more reasons then not being the best fit. Sorry to hear it again, and good luck with the rest of them.
