10pm and I'm out at wally-world getting the 'essentials' til I can get to the pet store tomorrow. I'm SO EXCITED, you guys have no idea! I've never had a dog of my own in my LIFE. Ever!

Let's see, here's what I got for now:

Crate (Medium size?)
Puppy Pads (for the inevitable oopsies)
Stuffed toys
Rope toy
Shampoo (moisturizing with oatmeal since pugs can have sensitive skin)
Nail clippers
Food/Water bowls (plastic for now, I want metal but they didn't have any)
Leash and harness (probably return these for cuter ones but necessary for now)
And some large cotton pads to clean out the pug wrinkles.

Stephanie

I'm so excited for you - and Tara will be SO jealous! Btw, if the shampoo is too harsh my vet had me use Ivory (or maybe it was Dawn, lol) dish soap on Nestle because I had to wash her 2-3 times a week because of my allergies - he said it was gentler on their skin.

You are such a good mommy, Jade!

Agh, what is this, puppy season?! My friend Jodean is getting a Pomeranian pup soon. I'm going to help her find her Pom Prince or Princess. lol.

I feel so left out! ;P

Great tip, I'll remember that! Thanks! This is what my mom uses on Toby and he seems to have sensitive skin - it works great. It's labeled gentle and has the oatmeal and I think Aloe in it to moisturize, too.

He's actually not bothered my allergies, which is why I was so dead-set on getting him! He nuzzled me all day when I was at work both days and I didn't sneeze once, which just thrills me! I have a mild dog allergy and thankfully he isn't one of the few that bother me.

Did I mention I'm excited?!

Stephanie

I'm so jealous! Today we had two pugs come in! I was in doggie heaven!! The first one tried to give me kisses, then the second little pug was jumping on me, got bored, went back to her owners, then decided to come back by me!
