There are a lot of shelters/organizations out there.
Just a quick point, though - you mentioned you don't have much money. Just make sure that you have a source of money in case the dog needs to go to the vet or hospital. Emergencies happen. Of course, everyday care and regular vet trips (for shots, nail clippings, etc) plus grooming all costs.
Just be prepared.
But I know what you mean about not having money to spend on a breeder dog. :yes:
