what chews do you use?

reggie is in a chewing phase right now. first i bought him small flat beef basted bones and he lost some interest in them after the flavoring was gone. then i bought these hard twist things with a filled center and it takes him half an hour to get thru one. between the 2 dogs they went tru that whole bag in 24 hrs. so this is startingto get a little costly. does anyone have anything that lasts a little longer so i'm not spending hundreds a month on chew stuff?

I use raw beef bones most of the time. I get them at the health food store and they have a meaty 'shell' (can't think of the right word) on them. Even after the flavoring is gone the dogs still chew on them sometimes and I can also spread peanut butter on the inside which keeps them busy for a while .

We always buy Loki these giant bones with bits of meat still on them. Sometimes we also buy him a softer rawhide type chew as well (sorry I don't know the names for these things officially LOL). Though thankfully he isn't a "chewer" except when it comes to his stuff.

I don't use any now in case they affect Poppy's Megaesophagus . She just chews on her toys if she's desperate enough.
