This thread is four years old.

Most sources say that sliders and painted turtles have an average life span around 25 years or so, though there have been reports of sliders living up to 40 years. 100 is a stretch, but it is believed that box turtles can live that long... and definitely many species of tortoise.

She sits in her corner, singing herself to sleep.
Wrapped in all of the promises, that no one seems to keep.
