My newbie

I just brought home a new additon.A red ear slider turtle. His name is Frankie, but I might change it.Anyway the couple I got him from are really nice and everything, but they breed geckos and so they wanted to focus more on the geckos and so they let me adopt him.He has only been here for about a half hour yet.He is about 6-8 yrs old, but not exactly sure. They are not fully sure either, as before they got him, he was in a horrible home!He was in a 20 gallon tank and he is a big turtle and hardly had any room, plus there was only like 3-5 inches on water...

Anyway I am happy about my new addition.Thinking about changing his name to Tanjobi. But we will see, as I am not a fan of changing animal's names.

Congrats on the new addition!

I am going to have to agree with you on the changing animal's names thing. The only time I've done this with any of my animals was with our cat Thunder because she didn't respond to the name they'd been calling her at the shelter, although she learned her new name within two days so we figured what the shelter had as her name wasn't what she'd been called at her original home... Anyway... Sorry I started rambling...

Thanks.

Yeah, I never change animal names...but I really think I am gonna call my turt, Tanjobi...really dislike the name Frankie.

2 of my rats who were rescues are named Raymond and Wendell.I dislike both names, but kept them anyway. And my gecko, his name is Bear and I kept it.
