Poo samples

Well I cleaned all my turtles out today so I thought I would put them in a nice clean bowl and let them go toilet in there so I could take it to the vets.
It was mostly urine but there were some lumps.
We took it to the vets and the small animal bit was closed and they wanted us to pay beore we dropped off the poo.
So we had to go to the main bit.
We waited for ages to find some1 to take payment but then instead she bought an empty bottle back and said that the lab had tested the poo but there was too many normal water creatures in it.
Normal water creatures? From the tap water...
i did not like to ask what they were.
So now I have to take another sample and this time makes sure there is no tap water in it.
Thankfully they did not charge us for putting me off our tap water for life.

The easiest thing to do is just let them each have a turn in a small rubbermaid container for about a half-hour. You will get what you need in that amount of time.

I would ask if you can just get the medicine without the sample. If the turtles share a tank they are bound to have the same parasites. The "deworming" medicine cannot harm them as long as it is dosed right for their respective weights.
