Southern Cricket Frog

Southern Cricket Frog (Acris gryllus)

Description 5/8-1 1/4" (1.6-3.2 cm). Tiny, with rough skin; red, brown, black, or green. Dark triangle between the eyes, and 1 or 2 longitudinal dark stripes on back of thigh, borderd by light stripes. Snout pointed. Legs relatively long. Webbing of hind foot extensive, but not reaching tip of first toe or next-to-last joint of longest toe.
