What is a springhaas?

Ok, I know that probably isn't spelled right but you get the idea! :D I saw one advertised and wondered what the heck it was. LOL I thought I saw a picture of one somewhere but I can't remember. Is it like a kangaroo or what?

I know this is really old, but Springhaas are actually rodents (: There are actually very common in the wild, but not very many people have ever heard of them!

They only have one baby at a time and they were banned along with Prairie Dogs until the ban got lifted so almost no one has them any more. I'd like one some day.
