hey can other fish live bettas? such as guppys?

Bettas can live w/ other fish, but guppies wouldnt be good because of their long fins. If a betta sees another fish with long fins, it might mistake it for another betta and attack it. Tetras or platties might work, but Im not sure tho.

What size is your tank?

I have successfully keep adf's with my betta.

Mine's liking in a fake planted {lots of fake plant} 10g with 4 platies.

Male fancy guppies usually aren't the best choice because of their long, colorful fins. Unless your betta is very peaceful he would most likely attack them.

Female guppies and Endler's Livebearers are better but can be nippy.

There are plenty of good betta tankmates, though. I've housed mine with snails, african dwarf frogs, ghost shrimp (many bettas eat them), neon tetras, cory cats, platies, white cloud minnows, and swordtails. I did have a male betta in a tank with male fancy guppies but he was exceptionally peaceful.

I've found the key is to have plenty of plants and hiding spots :).
