I just got my Sugar Glider (Nemo) two days ago and I have been doing alot of research to make sure I am doing everything right. Well I ran into a question that I have about the BML diet. Some pple say not to ever change the formula in anyway, others say thats its alright. So I am kinda sceptical about the whole thing now.
I am wanting to know if its ok to subsitute the Rep-Cal Herptivite Vitamin and Rep-Cal Calicum Suppliment for the "Glider Booster" Complete Vitamin/Mineral Supplement?
When I bought the Sugar Glider and they said that I should buy Monkey Biscuts and the Glider Booster and thats all I would need. (Of corse other than fresh fruits and vegies everyday)
Anywaz, sorry about writing so much. So, do you think its ok to subsitute that?
PS: Thank you so much and I hope that someone can help me set this all right!!
As a SG owner of 4 SG that has used BML for a year now I would have to say that it is not recommended to change the supplements around in any of the diets for they are figured into the over all nutrition of the diet when it is being created...... please PM me any time you need.
IMO - I would not always listen to pet stores when it comes to SG for they really do not know what they should when it comes to their care over the $$ they make from selling them.
im looking for a sugar glider here in vancouver canada. i dont want to send by airplane. please help. please send contacts by mail to [email protected]
No, you can't swap out the vitamins for something else, otherwise it will mess up the Ph:Ca levels and will no longer be a "balanced" diet. You have to follow BML to a T, which also includes only feeding the veggies/fruits listed with the BML diet.
