mudpuppy

I live in Alabama. And I was wondering if anyone else living in Alabama knew where I could buy a mudpuppy. Not for fishing bait but for a pet. I heard that some bait shops sell them. But Ive looked and asked and I cant find one that does. Can someone help me?
