I am currently The mommy to three syrian hamsters , two marbled Kissing Gourami's , 4 corydoras and 1 female betta. I plan to welcome home 4 mice and 3 african dwarf frogs soon. Its quite the family but everyone is great

I didn't know hamsters lived that long! Is it just that particular breed?

That is a nice bunch of cute pets, I have 47 house kitties.

The hamsters are less than a year ... the fish is the old one lol hamsters live 1-3 years depending on species. Mine can expect 2-3 years

Your hamster is probably a Mink ... They look like doves but have a more orange tint

I looked up some pictures of mink hamsters and a lot of them look like my Chicken Nugget. I am familiar with mink rats and have a couple and the mink rats are a different color then the hamsters. Interesting. I am no good with hamster colors.

Its ok hamsters are my specialty and it makes sense that colors would not match up exactly
