Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Laurie Hess, and I am a board-certified bird veterinarian who specializes in the care of exotic animals (birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, gerbils, degus, reptiles, sugar gliders, rats, mice, amphibians, other exotic pets). I just opened the Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics in Bedford Hills, NY (Westchester County), the first all-bird/exotics animal hospital in this county and the surrounding areas. We provide full-service medical, surgical, emergency care and boarding to exotic pets, and we do not treat cats or dogs. So please, remember that these days, there is a lot to learn about keeping exotic pets healthy, and by having a once a year check up, your exotic pet (like a cat or dog) can live a longer, healthier life. So visit on-line if you Google avianexoticsvet to see what our hospital has to offer. We look forward to meeting you and your pet soon!

Dr. Hess Is The Best

Dr. Hess is a fantastic vet! She has cared for my birds and other exotic pets for years and her knowledge, expertise and compassion are unmatched. Dr. Hess' hospital, the Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics, is a beatiful, state of the art facility that offers the highest quality care. I would very highly recommend Dr. Hess to anyone who owns a bird or any type of exotic pet.
