I'm just trying to get this word out tonight.

Today, one of my cat's started vomitting for several hours and there was fresh, bright red blood.

I had earlier found a half dead bee adjacent to the balcony where my cats are allowed out.

I rushed him to the emergency vet and she found a bee stinger in his tongue. She was able to remove it and administered a steroid shot, an antihistamine shot and fluids since he had become dehydrated due to the vomiting.

Word to the wise since we're coming up to summer when bees may swarm and be more prevelant. If you're cat is vomiting blood all of a sudden, don't discount that they may have caught a bee in their mouth or even swallowed a bee or wasp.
