I promise I am not trying to turn you off to anything.
This is my experiences thus far with chins. Chins are a lot of fun, but require a lot of time and research. I can't tell you how much time I've spent fixing things that I do/did wrong. So far, mine are cuddly by no means (it's been 5 months) and there is are so many things you need to be careful with them. I have fun with them and think they are great, but at times, it is still very rough.
On one other note, chins do not eat plants (not saying in a bad way Kendalle

) but fruits and veggies and anything with sugar (no raisins!) is very bad for their digestive systems. No plastic, no fabric other than anti-pill fleece...the list goes on. Hehe.
Good luck in your search and whatever you decide you want.
Edit: If you do get a chin, get one from a breeder and not a pet store. Believe me, it's cheaper and the chins are usually healthier and socialized better. If you need help finding one in your area, let me know.
