The last time I checked Pennsyvania statutes regarding exotics, they required a permit. Coatis and Kinkajous were not mentioned specifically, so your best bet is to approach the Dept of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) before you get the animal. If they classify it as an exotic you'll most likely have to have your facility approved for it.

If you contact them after you have the animal, you run the risk being denied the permit, and of having the animal confiscated.

Also, make sure the breeder you purchase the animal from has all their permits up to date. Purchasing and animal from an illegal source opens the door to much worse legal problems. Interstate transfer can involve US Fish and Wildlife and the Lacey Act.

Don't go there, trust me.
