is it possible your degu may have scratched his eye, one of mine did and he just carried on as normal, i was told to leave it to heal naturally was not 100% happy about that but he healed within a few days and was fine afterwards

How is your degu now? I agree with Tasha maybe it has hurt its eye.. If it does not get better soon maybe you should see a vet.. Keep us informed, I hope he/she gets better..

 

its still the same. but he is still acting normal

 

id just keep a very close eye on him if it isnt healing in the next day or two id take him to the vet, better safe than sorry!
he probably got scratched play fighting or something... hope he gets better soon

I hope your degu is feeling better now. I have one thing to add it might be worth while using a damp piece of cotton wool and some plain tepid water to bathe it slightly. I'd also suggest if its still not any better that you get him checked out by your vet as if he has gotten it scratched then he might need some antibiotic cream to help it heal fully.
