So today I got to dig out the old toddler locks and put them on all of the cupboards again, and I no longer have a toddler. My kitties have dry food available all day, and get canned in the morning and evening. Both are at a healthy weight. Salem, the bad kitty apparently, has learned how to open cupboards. Him and Molly both climb inside, rip open the bag of dry and eat straight from there. I thought well maybe its getting stale sitting out so added a bit to the dish off and on through the day. They never let up on the bag, and ripped open a bag of pasta. Am I the only one with little brats?

My cousin's cat did that too. She just have to make them inaccessible for him.

Just a relict part of their hunting instinct...not uncommon or completely unexpected.

How cheeky! I don't think you'll be able to stop them, so using child locks is prolly your best bet.
