From what I understand, it's just a genetic mutation and they act and look just like small rats.. I'm not positive on the temperaments, but I assume they are the same.
Annie, who I just adopted (she's a retired breeder), is a genetic dwarf. The rattery specializes in them. She is full grown and has had 2 litters, but she doesn't even weigh close to 200 grams. She also has that "classic" shorter, thinner tail. She is my first dwarf ever...that's why I was asking about dwarfs before I adopted her. She's very sweet, we just need to work on her handleability a little more.
