I've never heard of anyone keeping them as a pet, but most species of earwigs are omnivorous and will eat pretty much anything, from smaller insects to vegetables and fruit, and even scavenge decaying matter.

Ditto....had them all over the place when I lived on the west coast, but even amongst the invert keepers, I have not heard of anyone keeping them.

When we had an earwig problem when I was a kid we used to feed them peanut butter. But they'll eat anything. I've seen them eating tiny bugs, snails, bread etc. .
