we have been told we could get our rabbit fixed for around 50 bucks but given no leads as to where, so i called a good amount of the vets in MA and was quoted between 400 and 200 dollars. does anybody know of a less expensive place in the area or any of the surrounding states? i'm assuming the less expensive job is still safe for the bunny, so let me know if you have any knowledge of that as well. thanks!

I don't have any experience with them though. I would suggest you call and ask them a lot of questions before taking your rabbit there.

When I lived in MA I called a few of the shelters/rabbit rescues and talked to them. They where able to recommend vets as well.

Keep in mind that with a low cost spay/neuter you may not get pain meds or blood work. I always get blood work done on my bunnies before any surgeries. Some low cost places will charge extra for blood tests and pain meds. It's not always a case of you get what you pay for, but generally when you pay more at a good vet you will get a lot of extras that can be important if anything goes wrong (more monitering, IV's, blood work, etc).
